The Duke of Burgundy (#524)*
Golden-Brick-Award 150

Inspired by Rian Johnson's debut movie "Brick" – and the show's near-constant chatter about it – each year Filmspotting champions their favorite overlooked/under-the-radar films with the Golden Brick awards.

Golden Brick Criteria (fully est. 2014):

  • Was reviewed/recommended by at least one host.
  • Cannot be a mainstream/highly publicized movie.
  • Made by a new or newly-established filmmaker.
  • Shows clear directorial vision and/or artistic ambition.
