Kevin Jones, Boynton Beach, FL - I've thought
several times about writing, but imagine my surprise when the
thing that finally caused me to do it is your sponsor, Peerflix.
I was intrigued by the idea, but I don't really have DVDs to trade.
Then I remembered a small stack of DVDs that I'd received as promotional
items - most still in shrink wrap. So I gave it a try and signed
up. In the three weeks since, I've mailed out 'Snow Falling on
Cedars', 'Stepmom', 'Sweet November', and 'Six Days, Seven Nights'.
In return, I've received 'Saved', 'Master and Commander', 'The
Dreamers', 'Raising Victor Vargas', and 'Roger Dodger'. Boy, talk
about trading up! Thanks alot!
Tim - "By the way, thanks for getting my
wife hooked on Peerflix. Now I have to guard the mail box every
day
so she doesn't give
away my copy of So I Married an Axe Murderer."
Ken Bodhisattva, Chicago - "Just wanted
to give you a nice little plug for Peerflix. Been a member for
about
2 months now and I was able to trade King Solomon's
Mines (with Richard Chamberlain), Cutthroat Island and Pauly Shore
is Dead for the Godfather trilogy. If that's not proof it's worth
joining, I don't know what is."
Jeremy - "A bit of positive reinforcement
for Peerflix. I signed up and have done a couple of trades so far.
I like it. I'm glad that you found a sponsor that meshes so well
with your podcast."
Lou, Downers Grove, IL - "I
had heard of Peerflix before Cinecast, but never really gave it
serious consideration
until I heard you guys
talk about it on your podcast. After hearing your positive review
and that they were offering a free DVD upon signup, I decided
to give
it a shot. I went to Peerflix and signed up and used my first
peerbuck to get The Royal Tenenbaums. A movie that I absolutely
love and
always manages to make me laugh, but for some reason, I don't
actually own.
As for the free DVD, I wasn't really all that crazy about any
on the list of free DVDs that were offered to me, but I decided
to
go with XXX: State of the Union ... I mean, this is
a movie Vin Diesel was actually smart enough to turn down and yet
Samuel L. Jackson
somehow manages to appear in two XXX movies? All I can say is that
I hope Snakes on a
Plane is more along the lines of Pulp Fiction
or even Shaft than either of the XXX movies.
Anyway, the silver lining in all this is I got a request in my
e - mail for this movie from another Peerflix user and I promptly
sent it out. I am now currently salivating over what to spend my
new peerbux on. Right now I'm thinking City of God.
Anyway,
keep up the good work and I wanted to thank you guys for turning
me on to Peerflix. I'm hooked."
