FS #227: Lakeview Terrace / Righteous Kill / Top 5 Actor Pairings We'd Like To See

Sept. 19: "Say hello to our little friends ..." This week, Adam and Matty perform the entire show using their best Bobby De Niro and Al Pacino impressions in honor of the legendary duo's new crime drama, "Righteous Kill." The guys might even find time to work in some of their best Samuel L. Jackson when they cover his performance in "Lakeview Terrace," the newest social commentary/thriller from director Neil Labute. Plus, in honor of Bobby and Al, Filmspotting presents the Top 5 Actor Pairings We'd Like To See. "Yeah, we're talking to you ... hoo-HAH!"

Also on the show: Listener Feedback, Massacre Theatre and music by The Scotland Yard Gospel Choir courtesy of Bloodshot Records.

** Filmspotting is presented by Spout.com. Sci-fi, horror, and other genre flicks are doing their best to scare the stiffs at Fantastic Fest. Read all about them at blog.spout.com. **

FS #195: Barry Levinson / Marina Zenovich / Top 5 2008 Sundance Entries

January 25: Adam and Matty return from Sundance without any good Paris Hilton stories, but with a lot of great things to say about their Top 5 Sundance Film Festival Entries. Plus, Adam sits down with director Marina Zenovich, whose documentary on the circumstances surrounding Roman Polanski's trial and exile from the United States in the late '70s -- "Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired" -- premiered at Sundance. Adam also caught up with director Barry Levinson to discuss his new send-up of Hollywood -- "What Just Happened?" -- starring Robert De Niro, Catherine Keener and Bruce Willis.

Also on the show: Massacre Theatre, Listener Feedback, reflections on the passing of Heath Ledger, and a look at the 2008 Oscar Nominations announced earlier this week.

Music by Utah Carol from the album "Comfort for the Traveler."

Filmspotting is presented by Spout, a gathering place for people who love movies. In January, spout.com will present BUTTERKNIFE, a new generation detective series made by a new generation of filmmakers. Find out more at butterknife.spout.com.
