I'm the midst of
The Dark Knight reaching #1 on imdb's chart, and the fact that the imdb chart isn't that interesting in the first place led me to think that maybe it's time we setup our own chart. So I have decided to take it upon myself to do just that.
Here's how it'll work:
You, the filmspotter, will send a weighted list of your top 20 movies to the e-mail address below. I'll get the results, and create an excel spreadsheet calculating our favourite movies and in a month or two depending on how fast the votes come in, there will possibly be a 2nd round of voting to determine how the community feels about the top 200 or so.
So, for example, one could send this list.
#1 - The Dark Knight
#2 - The Godfather
#3 - The Shawshank Redemption
#4 - The Godfather Part II
#5 - The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
#6 - Pulp Fiction
#7 - Schindler's List
#8 - One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
#9 - The Empire Strikes Back
#10 - Casablanca
#11 - Meet Dave
#12 - Norbit
#13 - Wall-E
#14 - From Justin to Kelly
#15 - Cannibal Holocaust
#16 - Rocky
#17 - Gates of Heaven
#18 - Harvey
#19 - North
#20 - Scarface
This would then be put into the spreadsheet with #1 getting 20 points, #2 getting 19 points and so on.
