Ok, I am pretty sure I started a thread like this ages ago and now can't find it I've culled movies from a different thread (and I think I've included them all), I also picked a couple more to make a nice round (of) 64. The idea is to randomly pair up films, a person will watch them both and pick a winner (hopefully with some commentary) - until only one remains. Once you state your interest I'll give you your random pairing. Who's in?

Do I have to rewatch them if I've seen them before?

I'd like to do it, but I have the same question Sean does.

You can do whatever you want. I personally like the idea of fresh viewings so that the films might resonate with your current self differently than your memory of the film would - but it is totally up to you. The other bit is to write up a bit about contrasting the two films and choosing a preference, if you have enough "data" and memory to do that, all the better. The 1990s US Bracket has a minimal police force. I'll do it.
The first match-up - for solafekxela - out of the Randomizer is: Dazed and Confusedvs. Quiz Show I've randomly pulled all the match-ups, so the baseline bracket is set.

Nice! I've been meaning to revisit D & C, and I've always wanted to see Quiz Show.

Do you just want to pass out one matchup to each person involved to get things moving quicker, and each person gets their next matchup when they give their results?

Count me in. I just might not be able to obtain some obscure movies. Would we be able to switch if we can't get a movie?

Yeah, if I understand you it seems we're on the same page. I guess I should have given you a match-up earlier, the second part of your question really sent me for a loop thefaceboy has: Pulp Fictionvs. ClerksCount me in. I just might not be able to obtain some obscure movies. Would we be able to switch if we can't get a movie?
It didn't seem like any of the movies should be a problem, but of course, if you get a pairing that you can't get copies of you can toss it back in for the next on the list. junior has: But I’m a Cheerleadervs. Trust

I didn't realize Trust wasn't available through Netfilx, I guess someone who uses a (good) bricks and mortar rental stop will eventually get this pairing. (I guess I could just take it for myself, since I haven't done that yet.) Okay, consider that pairing mine. junior, your new pairing is: Menace II Societyvs. Julien Donkey-Boy

My source isn't Netflix, it's college students. Maybe I should count myself out of this one.

What do you think you could get a hold of? Just obvious type films? Would local/school libraries have selection? The next pairing actually looks do-able, wanna try it?

I'll make a few calls looking for Trust before I do mine (I can do mine from memory and I own both) and I'll take his if I can find Trust, unless someone finds Trust first. Whoever gets it first can take it before me.
