Just watched Slither last night and it was a lot of fun. The most pure fun I can remember having watching a movie in a long time. It made me think of what people said about Snakes on a Plane being fun, except I wasn't having fun mocking the film like a snob, I was just having fun watching it.

Before seeing Slither, I figured it would be either a semi-ironic, nostalgic revisiting of eighties monster/alien movies or a spoof of them. I was pleasantly surprised that it was just a new entry in the genre. It was funny and creepy and startling, sometimes all at the same time.

After this and the underrated Dawn of the Dead remake, I am really excited about James Gunn, the director.

I've had this movie sitting around for a long time, but haven't gotten around to watching it.  I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I haven't seen this movie but if you like this movie I would recommend read the book, The Toy Collector.  It's by the director of Slither and really is a great book.

SLITHER was one of the most underrated movies of the year -- and I'd also recommend THE TOY COLLECTOR as well; it's a great book.  Gunn got his start writing for Troma, and he co-wrote a great book there; Lloyd Kaufman's hilarious memoir ALL I EVER NEEDED TO KNOW ABOUT FILMMAKING I LEARNED FROM THE TOXIC AVENGER (i might be a word or two off there...)

He's definitely an up-and-coming talent.

Great movie, not to mention that anything that gets Nathan Fillion out there is always a good thing.

This is a great movie. When I watched it I was at my PC with the headphones on making a lot of "Oh sh#t!" comments. I'm surprised Adam & Sam (or at least one of them) didn't see it when It came out, especially after the horror mathon. Its not surprising though considering most all modern horror movies are about people getting tortured. But still what else came out that weekend (march 31 2006)?

Yeah I am a bit surprised.  It got very good reviews as well and they saw The Host because it got great reviews.

I saw Slither (finally) a week ago and I loved it.  I think Nathan Fillion is great - I've loved him since One Life to Live and Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place - and even enjoyed Elizabeth Banks who I don't usually like.  I really want to see Slither again, but I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone I know now...
