This look back at previous episodes was a fun listen - kudos to Matt Singer for a job well done! It left me with a question, though:
Is or isn't Filmspotting a review show?
The word "review" is bandied about quite a lot in this episode (and not just by guest host Singer). Yet in the fallout from the District 9 episode, Matty quite clearly says "Filmspotting is not a review show". So guys, which is it?
Looking forward to the next podcast, as always! Also, you should consider doing an Audrey Hepburn marathon!
I don't think we should be banned from using the word review. Obviously we are "reviewing" movies. Matty's point was that a review, at least to us, connotes telling you whether a movie is good or bad, or whether you should spend your time and money to see it. Those things don't interest us much.
