Excellent show, guys; and I have to agree with you about "Quantum of Solace." I still like Craig in the role, and I remain intrigued by the notion of a darker Bond. However, I am less than thrilled with the Bourne-ification of the Bond franchise (no offense meant to the Bourne flicks, which I think are really quite good). I don’t mind a little grit in a Bond flick, but Forster’s quick cuts and his shaky work with the shaky cam do the film a disservice.
After "Casino Royale," I can recall being a bit excited; Craig’s Bond seemed a far more realistic character than Brosnan’s, and I was eager to see the producers explore the character's depths. Now, while I still have faith in Craig, I’m not so sure that the producers really have the chops for exploring Bond’s personality.
