Schedule Update
A couple of Calendar changes to report... hopefully we'll actually stick to this!
Saturday, Dec. 30 (WBEZ): Dreamgirls, Letters From Iwo Jima, Top 5 Performances of the Year (Actor and Actress)
Thursday, Jan. 4: Short show... The Good German, We Are Marshall / Bobby. We were hoping to discuss The Good Shepherd, but I won't be able to see it in time. Bobby got a Golden Globe nomination, so we'll spend a couple of minutes on it. If you're thinking to yourself, hey, wait, isn't Volver out? Children of Men? Anything more interesting than We Are Marshall? The answer is, of course, yes. But this is the best we can do right now based on our schedules. For example, Sam has seen Shepherd, but I can't get to it... while I've seen Volver and Children, but Sam can't get to them. So it is what it is. Thanks for understanding.
Wednesday, Jan. 10: Top 10 Films of 2006

7 Comments:
U MUST review or at the very least, go see Children of Men cuz it's easily one of the top 5 films of 2006. Alfonso Cuaron BETTER get a best director nomination.
It's on the calendar for a few weeks down the road. I've seen it already. Not near Sam right now.
I agree. Not f*cking Bobby. It's liberal bullsh*t with a cast of too many Hollywood movie stars.
I'm going to be dragged to see "The Good Shepherd," tomorrow. I'm not sure what to make of it, it has some very postive reviews by critics, but it seems audiences think its too long and drawn out. Can't wait to hear your review of it!
You could be an orthodox marxist and still think Bobby is a heaping pile of shit.
It's the worst movie I've seen since Big Top Peewee.
Horrible.
Wow, that batch of feedback should be fun to go through...
How can you call The Good Shepherd too long and drawn out? Sure, it's almost three hours long, but it's three hours of substance. I don't remember a single moment where I was bored. It's a shame that so many people have such short attention spans.
