Schedule Change

Due to a DVD mix-up on our end, Cinecast will not be discussing Tarkovsky's "Andrei Rublev" this Friday ... In its place, we've decided to spend a few minutes on an overlooked film from last year, Thumbsucker. We'll merge our discussions of "Rublev" and "Solaris" next Friday. So for those of you playing along at home, you now have an extra week to find six hours to spend with Tarkovsky. Good luck.

I've yet to watch Thumbsucker, not because I overlooked it but because it never released anywhere in Dubai. If your judgement deems it worthy, then I shall order it off Amazon.

And I've had Andrei Rublev lying around for a year now. Perhaps it's time to dust the cover and finally watch it...

Look forward to the show.

Solaris and Rublev. Two of my favorite films. I look forward to hearing your take on both.
