Cinecast #74: Murder & Mayhem

Overlooked Auteurs #1/Murder Mysteries: Having just filled in the gaps of a spotty Hitchcock education with a six-week Master-of-Suspense Marathon, Adam and Sam set out into more obscure territory with a six-week Overlooked Auteurs Marathon. First up: two films by mid-century provocateur Samuel Fuller. Sensationalist, genius, or both? Fuller's 1963 film "Shock Corridor" is the subject of this week's discussion.
Also on the show, we hand out The MacGuffins, our best of the Hitchcock Marathon Awards, share some Listener Feedback, and reveal our Top 5 Murder Mysteries. Will Hitchcock's "Rear Window" make our lists? A murderer -- I mean, critic -- would never parade his picks on his blog...
Music by The Court and Spark and The Yayhoos courtesy of Bloodshot Records ... Cinecast theme music by Age of the Rifle.

My first Woody Allen film was Sleeper. I've never forgotten the inflatable suit or the orgasmatron-thing.
Hooray - hey guys, thanks for the shout-out to my Morgan Freeman Narrator Top 5. You made my day while I sit here working on a Saturday here in KC. Because of your show my fiancee and I have had the kind of film/philosophy/character converstions I've always wanted in a relationship. So basically, Cinecast has provided joy in my love life. Feel proud yet? Love the show, keep up the great Top 5's.

I feel like our constant discussions of our mutual Cinecrack addiction has brought me closer to my girlfriend.
