Cinecast A/V #5: 1st Annual 'Durdens' - Badass of the Year

Tyler hit Adam and Sam until they named their Badass Award after him.

OK, so video podcasting is not for the faint of heart. After four remarkably tepid episodes of Cinecast A/V, Adam and Sam took some time off to consider the video spin-off's future. After eight weeks of brainstorming, this is the result. Sure, the 'set' is still bland, and the guys apparently broke into their daddy's closets in an attempt to imitate "Anchorman's" 'Action News' team -- but hey, it is an 'awards' show. Prepare to have your mind blown.

On the show, Adam and Sam reveal their Overlooked DVD Picks of the Week, and hand out the 1st Annual Badass of the Year Awards -- 'The Durdens'.

As a regular Cinecast subscriber, you'll get the audio version of Cinecast A/V delivered the same way you get our Wednesday and Friday shows. If you have a video iPod, you can subscribe to Cinecast A/V via this separate feed -- http://feeds.feedburner.com/cinecastav -- to have the video version automatically downloaded to your player. Of course, if you don't have one of the video iPods, you can still subscribe and watch the show in iTunes. Or, just watch it here on the cinecastshow site -- Windows Media and Quicktime versions are available above.

no, suits are cool. just play off the irony that you're two laid back dudes. maybe wear jeans with the suits, eh?

Brandon, I don't think we ever saw below the stomach. So for all we know they *are* wearing jeans.

And yeah, suits are cool. Are you saying the Blues Brothers were sell-outs because they wore suits? Let's not be silly now. ;)

I watch the screen and I think "who are these people?" and when I look away, even for a second, your voices come back and I know its you. Surreal!

Also, I was wondering if you plan on reviewing Bubbles? I know you're both huge fans of Soderbergh and Ebert and Roper both declared it a masterpiece. Also I would be interested on hearing your take on the whole DVD, theater, cable matter.

I think Adam in particular looks very comfortable in that suit. Fantastic stuff, guys. Maybe get some warmer lighting, though.

It's that mysterious intern we keep talking about...

Also, good job with the newly appointed hair stylist, or should that be 'assistant to Mr Kempenaar'?

Guys. Three things.
1. Sofas and a coffee table
Sitting around a board room table doesn't feel right.
2. Lapel microphones
3. Smart casual, not smart!

Just throw some cash our way via the paypal link and we'll get right on those sofas and lapel mics!

Seriously though, I think it might be really hard to do the show in a 'casual' way. I'm just not sure that's our style, to be lounging around.

If nothing else, you had more then one camera angle, which makes the show an improvement. A very good A/V with the only problem being Sam: Mark Whalberg?

Great show but change the name of the award! Durden - WTH is that? Sounds like a lining from a sweater. Just call it the BadAss Award.

I dug the look. Definitely went for Anchorman look, I was hoping for Roger Ebert & Richard Roeper to take y'all on for a cinema podcast brawl.

Get some guests next time.

Looked good, but couldn't hear the audio for some reason when it downloaded into iTunes. Tried the download of the M4V file from here and same thing. Not sure what's going on with that. Now trying the Windows Media file.

Just two quick notes... Adam's eyes are menacing, and I want Sam's hair.
